Our 2nd meeting was held in Magdeburg (DE), from February 12th – 15th, 2016.
On the first day, the ESR’s presented the progress of their projects. On day two, the ‘Advanced training course 1: The Human Visual System – Physiology, Pathophysiology, Rehabilitation & Restoration’ was focused on lectures on the foundations of the human visual system as well as the frontiers of vision research. The advanced training course featured eight international speakers with expert knowledge of the topic. On the last two days, the ESR’s visited the clinical facilities of Otto-von-Guericke University and workshops on visual field defect measurements. They also visited the premises of White Matter Labs in Berlin where the CEO gave a presentation on starting up a company and combining vision research and entrepreneurship.
